What we keep

• Account: your name, your email address, and your password (stored only as a one-way hash) or your Google account id.
• Subscription: the plan, its status, its renewal date and the Stripe subscription id. We never see or store your card details.
• Content: the videos you upload or import, their transcripts, the suggested moments, your review and editing choices, and the clips produced.
• Creator profile: your questionnaire and interview answers, your fonts and your public accounts if you add them.
• Face and voice: if you choose to have your face and voice recognised in your videos, a print of each (biometric data) computed on our servers, only from files you pick and after you confirm. Other people in your videos are never recognised. These prints never leave our database and are shared with no third party.
• Technical data: operating and security logs.

Why

To provide the service (performing our contract), to bill, secure and improve it (legitimate interest), and, for face and voice recognition, on the basis of your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Sub-processors

We use the following providers, bound by confidentiality and security commitments; some process data outside the European Union under the safeguards the law requires (standard contractual clauses):

• DigitalOcean — servers and GPU processing (Toronto, Canada)
• Hyperstack — GPU processing of your videos (Canada)
• Backblaze — storage of videos, clips and backups (EU Central)
• Anthropic — AI analysis of transcripts and still frames to find and package moments (United States)
• TypeSafe (Jev) — scoring of transcript excerpts to rank the suggested moments
• Apify — importing videos and public posts from links you give us
• Cloudflare — network security and the connection to our servers
• Vercel — hosting of the account app and the studio
• Stripe — payments, subscriptions and invoices (we never see your card details)
• Google — sign-in with your Google account, and Google Drive imports when you connect a folder
• FirstPromoter — the affiliate program: which affiliate referred you, and the payments that earn their commission
• Resend — service emails (for example, when your clips are ready)

How long we keep it

• Your content and profile: as long as your account exists, then 90 days after your subscription ends, unless you ask for deletion sooner.
• Billing records: as long as accounting law requires.
• Backups: 30 days; deleted data disappears from backups as they expire.

Your rights

You can access, correct and export your data, object to its processing, or ask for its deletion by writing to support@lautus.ai. We delete your account, videos, clips and face and voice prints, including their copies in storage, within 30 days. You can also complain to your country's data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Cookies

We use necessary cookies: your sign-in session and your language choice. No advertising or analytics cookies.

If you arrive through an affiliate's link, FirstPromoter sets two cookies (_fprom_tid and _fprom_ref) that remember which affiliate referred you, so they earn their commission. They are used for nothing else.
